Our client, a Dutch listed multibillion euro company, has decided to set up a shared service center abroad.

Opportunity
Given the transfer of business it is of great importance that the control environment is maintained at the required high level. It is obvious that procedures will change. A smooth transition process is of major importance. Global Forward was requested to co-source this process.

Global Forward Approach
Global Forward’s experience in process compliance services has been made available to our client on a co-sourcing basis. Sharing knowledge is the key to the success of the transition. The approach was risk-based, focusing on adequate development of the internal control infrastructure. Key performance indicators were implemented, strengthened by exception reporting.

Results
The shared service center is operating properly. The new communication lines with headquarters are in place and provide adequate assurance. The internal control procedures have been implemented successfully. A great example of sharing knowledge.
